I woke up this morning pondering what I was going to blog about. As Adam headed to the office, I stayed home with Zoe, she was so excited to see how much it snowed last night and uber excited to see it was still snowing. So then I thought, well I'll blog about the snow or Zoe. Halfway through Adam's drive to the office he called me to let me know he was still in traffic and it was moving really slow. As we started talking, the topic of conversation turned to prospective client meetings.
With wedding planning in full swing and meetings with brides, grooms, and mother's of the brides we photographers get excited. Time and time again we get asked the question, "why are you different?" Yes there are a million different photographers out there, but in the end there's only one that's good enough for your wedding day.
You want to make sure that you find a photographer or photographers that fit your personality, style and vision for your wedding day. Most of the time Adam will say some funny joke to answer the question so everyone will laugh. Then he tells them how our passion for our craft is expressed through our work. We've been doing this a long time and we are always working on improving our craft. We give each other support on a bad day and always give each other suggestions on how to get better. Through communication with each other we've found our strengths and weaknesses and how to improve on those weaknesses. We always want our work to reflect our passion and the style of our client. We love taking a "raw" photo and making it into a work of art (as our good friend Otto would say).
Here is a photo right out of the camera:

Now when someone asks us why we're different we can say, "our passion for your day will show in the final product."
